I saw a wanted add on here for a turn key car that could run S/G in the race car forum so I called him and it worked out for both of us boogie

Time for me to start finishing the new car, a1965 Dart 270 back half chrome moly coil over four link rear suspension with a QA1A arm coil over front suspension wrench
I want to run in NHRA Top Sportsman as well as racing a quick S/P door car that runs down dragsters devil grin

That's a deep pool. I have some good friends who have gone there over the years. Teen packages and fender racing at 200MPH. Go for it.

Super Gas is fun too. Different discipline. Make the car run what you want it to run, regardless weather, track, etc. Little different than just changing the number on the window.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

That car was sold new in Tuscon, AZ to the original owner, it was a Grand Coupe 383 two barrel car that he turned into what it was when i got it minus the motor. I was able to talk to him before buying from the guy he had traded it to.
It had a blown B1 aluminum KB block motor that powered the car to 7:85 ET and 184.+ MPH, I think it what he said.
That car went straight as a arrow and was real easy to drive with the Biondo box and Shiftnoid air shifter and throttle controller up
The only problem I had was seeing around the scoop sitting in the seat he had made and mounted for himself, he was 6.6 and weigh right at 325 lbs., I'm 6.0 and 260 Lbs. with all the driving gear on shruggy
Upwards and onwards boogie

Congrats on the sale. I sold my Top Sportsman car to go back to Super Street shruggy Just not my kinda people there. While TS is full of great races and people there are some who just have lots of money and want to go fast with little concern about anyone else or the skills required to run that fast. So I am going back to mainly S/ST and an occasional S/C national event. Although we will hopefully be well over 160 in S/ST. Looking forward to seeing your new hotrod. And I know your old Cuda fairly well actually.

Now…you guys know that a gentleman never tells wink laugh2 But in all seriousness the car has made its way into my shop and is waiting it’s turn at the chassis shop to have adjustable wheelie bars built and the seat moved so that it’s more comfortable for me, other than that no major changes. Current plans also include selling my 7.0 index foot brake 67 Dart and a couple other projects I had going so that I can get focused on seat time in this car, possibly some 5.80 index racing, maybe some divisional Super Gas action and definitely some decent paying bracket racing. As a side note let me say that it has been an absolute pleasure talking to, dealing with and meeting with Cab, funny how you “see” people on Moparts a lot, read their posts and wonder what it would be like to meet them, Cab’s a good dude and a wealth of knowledge beer beer

Same here. However, everyone I know likes the Cuda better than a Challenger. Not me.I would still love a Cuda though if the price was right.

I was looking for a 70 Challenger when I found this Cuda. The 70 Challenger is the only model year I ever liked or would own. Cuda's I could do 70 or 71 but that's it.

Nice looking Cuda! One of my first cars was a 70 Barracuda about that color, with a 225 slant six, in 1972.
