Make your own, use a socket or washer that is the same diameter as the metal can of the seal, and use a bolt and nut with washers.
Just carefully align the seal and start turning the nut.

Can it be done in the car? Yes. Like I said earlier. Just go slow, line things up and slowly tighten the nut from the bottom, bolt in from the top. Make sure the seal is centered in the countersink of the case. You can easily knock the seal out from the bottom. You need to remove the valve body first, I assume you know that.

You can replace it in car like others have said. The advice I would give is buy 2 or 3 seals before you do the job. You may ruin one pressing it in place. I did this in car and ruined two, third one was the charm. I bent up the seal housing because things were not centered correctly.

The tool I put the link to doesn't require removing the valve body. The one on the right in the pics is for removing the seal, all that is required is removing the shift lever and throttle pressure/kickdown lever. The one on the left is for installing the seal. I've had one of those seal remover/installer tools in my toolbox for almost 40 years, it's come in handy several times. It's designed to make replacing the seal in the car much easier.

Perfect! Just ordered a set, thanks for this. Anyone have any suggestions for good seals? Some of the seals and bearings we've been getting lately have been less than crummy. TIA! Jer

Bought the tool.It shredded the hard seal. Now what. I don't want to remove the valve body. Did you get it threaded completely down into the seal before you started tightening the upper bolt to pull the seal (and the tool) up and out? It should bite into the metal ring part of the seal when threaded in completely. That's what pulls that part of the seal out, just threading it into the rubber won't.
