70 Barracuda manual drums.
Rear resivoir is empty. No puddles or stains under car. Lines and wheel cyllinder are not leaking. Driver carpet is wet. whiney
Are rebuild kits still available?
Are high quality new or nos master cylinders available? Actually, is a 52 year old nos even any good or will it need seals?
Should I just buy a modern aluminum m.c.? I don't care about numbers or original look.
What size pistons do I want?

I suppose I have to remove the front seats and carpet. Can I clean the fluid out of the carpet or do I need new carpet? Argh more work and more money

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Brake fluid eats paint, so whatever it got to will like peel up on you.

If you have a 1" bore manual drum brake M/C then Rock auto lists a kit for it. For not much more they also list a new Raybestos M/C.

Your choice I guess.

Yep, I know I have to clean up the fluid on the floor and the steering column plate and then paint. primer
What cleans up Dot3 brake fluid and ruined paint? Solvent, lacquer thinner, detergent, carwash soap, purple stuff, prepsol? Grinder, sandblast, heatgun, torch? ozbbq
Carpet? Any way to clean that so it doesn't continue to eat paint or is it trash? Quarter carwash, pressure washer, laundromat laugh2

If paints not hurt yet.
Simple soap and water followed by a good wash down with brake clean for inside the car.

Ive used 2 of the repop drrm brake master cylinders with no complaints
