Been wondering if there were any dodge versions of the trophy trucks since the ones I seem to always see are chevy, ford and Toyota. With the amount of truck guys Here, I’m sure somebody has some info or even had one themselves, even if it wasn’t a mopar.

Yes, there are Dodges out there we have (5) Dodge off road truck engines in house right now that we are refreshing. Most of the sanctioning bodies allow any make body with any make engine. So, just because it has a Ford or Chevy body doesn't mean that is what is powering it. In fact more and more of the classes are all switching to LS power for cost savings.

I can see the Chevy LS motors being more frequently used due to parts availability and the amount performance parts for it. I used to see a lot of that style trophy trucks, some would probably look even better on a street truck conversion (unless your in California where extreme mods like that would be ground spin by the local sheriff/police). With the general body, guess a grill swap and nobody would probably be the wiser since there is rarely any body panels resembling stock.

Do you build them for customers or just build the engines?

Several years ago I went to the county fair on a night they had "monster trucks" and among the field there were 2 Dodge's. Well dodge bodied anyway. One was pretty competitive, the other not so much.
The competitive one had a Mopar big block in it,the uncompetitive one had a Chevy engine in it.
They had a meet and greet on the field after the event you could crawl around and under them and look around, ask questions about all that competed that night.
We found out the real reason the one dodge was such a pooch.
All night the MC was saying that the normal driver was either unavailable or hurt or had an event with his other truck somewhere else that night, something. (It's been a few years)
Anyway there was a substitute driver in the pooch, and just by running the motions they got "points" in whatever sanctioning body they were affiliated with. Obviously not as much as if they had won, but "some".
I found out the real reason that truck was a pooch. It had a Chevy engine in the Dodge chassis.

Would love to build a Rod Hall or Walker Evans tribute truck if I won the Lottery.

Here’s a Rod Hall tribute truck I built back in the early 90s. This was taken right after the paint job. I had off-road tube bumpers with aluminum skid plates ( one made from a road sign) and a spare tire rack in the bed. It was by no means a competition truck but was a lot of fun and got a lot of looks.

BeeLine nice truck. Interestingly, I found that there was also a Walker Evans Edition Dakota as well. No Rod Hall Dakotas. Speaking of Rod Hall is the guy that use to own the Rod Hall trucks still around here? If I remember correctly there was a gentleman whom had 2-3 of them at one point. I think he sold them off or sold a couple and kept one? Anyways, attached is a picture of the Walker Evans Dakota from a 1990 show.

Thanks for posting pics. Always loved the old and new skool stuff for off-road trucks.

I've been following a build of a street legal trophy truck by Danny Parsel on instagram https://www.instagram.com/dparsel/ His build is the most amazing truck build I can recall.

If I had the financial means, I'd replicate exactly what he's done with a Ramcharger.
