Anyone know how much weight loss there is going from stock k member to a alterktion k member on a 64 b body? Thanks

You could just as well cut the stock one. There's not 10 lbs difference in the end. Way less money and works well.

You might be able to search it but the big weight loss on the aftermarket K frames is going to lightweight brakes and getting rid of the stock steering box. The frames themselves are fairly close. Obviously, there are other advantages with header fitment etc.

My stock 1965 dart six-cylinder K frame weighs 23 Lbs. boogie
I'm going to cut the stock mounts off and use a front engine aluminum plate attached to some angle iron I will weld on the sub frame once I get the motor located were I want itwrench

i think I would be shortening the three bolts holding the steering box to the K frame, unless they are Titanium or aluminum devil

When I bought my AJE he claimed "up to" 120# weight loss. The fine print was that included getting rid of factory power steering and power disc brakes. If you already had manual steering almost all the weight was the brakes.
