That is probably about normal for Bill. I sent him a set of belts a while back after talking to him on the phone. He was super nice and said he would get right on them. After a couple of months I called him and he said he was sorry but had been busy and he would get them finished up and shipped right away. A couple more months went by and then I called him again. He said the belts were done but he had lost my address so he didn't know who to ship them to. I eventually did get the belts back and they looked great. Just took a long time. My guess is that he is an old school kind of guy who sews the stuff in a back room in his house and keeps all of his notes on scrap paper. You just can't be in a hurry but you do have to check on him once in a while.

A couple months ago he told me he was having some foot Dr. stuff going on so I stopped pursuing him to do a belt set for me after contacting him a couple times. Seemed super nice and always answered emails immediately. I'm still interested in getting a set done when the situation improves.

I spoke with Bill in early november and stated to him then (you are saying 4 weeks and I don't believe that are you being straight up is it more like 6-8 weeks he says no.
What s bait and switch CON ARTIST I don't do business this way

I'm getting the run around for months now. He called and I paid 3 weeks ago and he said he shipped but NO belts yet.
Hes coming up with every excuse in his black book now. He sent a bogus tracking number also. I type in the tracking
and it says (status not available) it should at least say where it was scanned at when it was shipped !!! or the last point it was scanned.
Another friend is going through the same thing with this joker even told me my friends belts and mine shipped the same time but Bill will not
answer his calls either or sent a tracking number to him. Both of us have paid and have no way of tracking the so called shipments,
I don't believe anything has shipped. RANT OVER !! This is just straight up BULL S---T
We are getting every excuse this guy can musture up

He’s had my belts since Feb 2021…
Similar experience with ‘I should have them done soon’!

I have purchased several sets of belts from Bill Edwards. Always was a smooth transaction, and the workmanship and prices were fantastic. I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles. I hope you have a good outcome.

I had issues when I sent my seat belts to Bill. I talked to him and I think the turn around time was about a month. I sent the belts to him. I got busy and lost track of time. it was about 3 months after I had sent them to Bill I called and he said that the belts were done but he lost my contact information so I gave him my information and he said that he would ship them right away. A month later no belts I called he said he would need to check the tracking number he never gave me tracking numbers. He called back and said they were in North Carolina and were marked as undeliverable, well I live in Iowa I thought it was a little strange. He said he would get them back and ship them to me. A month later I had to call him again and like before they had been lost in shipping. I did eventually get the belts back and was pleased with the results, I thought maybe this was an isolated incident but it sounds like it might be normal

I've never met that man but I think that is his general MO. He is backed up and super disorganized, but he doesn't want to tell people what the actual turn around time will be so he "fudges". I had the same story from him about they were almost done, then they were waiting for something, and then they were ready but he lost my info. Then they showed up! Now the really funny thing is that in all of that mess he forgot to charge me for the seat belts. I called him up and asked him what I owed him and sent him a check but I bet some people don't ever pay him. I'm happy with the belts so he does do nice work, I just wish he would hire an assistant who knows how keep track of stuff.

Had mine for over 2 years. Finally got them back and there were not the belts I sent to them.Plus his quality of "workmanship",I would not have put them in a driver.I sent them off to another restorer who is helping me straighten out the mess. What a joke.Paid 900.00 for an education I guess

I’ve had two customers that sent him belts and they were satisfied but that was before the Covid mess. I guess he has slipped up lately. So who else is doing belts?. I can’t wait for two years.
