Are ALL pulleys different between a car with PS and one without? Considering adding PS since my manual box is trash. Sucks steering with manual... but researching leads me to believe all pulleys are different. That adds up to a chunk of money in pulleys alone for the swap.

No, just the Crankshaft pulley and the Power Steering pulley. Waterpump and alternator pulley remain the same. Yes they are hemi specific. 69-71 are the same.

Just had to buy a set of 3 pulleys for the power steering, alternator, and water pump for my 70 Hemi motor (thru the restoration shop doing the work). The matched set of pulleys was over $600 so yes they are expensive. He got them out of a place in Oregon but I can't remember the name.

Had a Hemi RR with manual everything for 33 years, with 265/50s in front on 15x8s.
Great to drive, but parallel parking was a bit of a workout laugh2
To convert to PS, there's the pump, pulleys, box & column, but most of that won't have the Hemi surcharge.
I have a very nice manual box in the B-body ads if it matters...

why didn't the hemi use the belt and pulley system used on the B/RB engine ?
do the heads extend that much farther forward of the water pump housing mounting surface ?
i have never worked on one, [hemi] so please excuse my ignorance.

Those dang street Hemiroid motors have a lot thicker crankshaft dampener, needing different pulleys scope

Think again. Different angled fitting coming out of the box, special pump pulley, special hose. Cha Ching!!!! High dollar again. cry
