Middletown is building up quite a bit but it still isn`t full of night life and or much for great shopping. It is a decent town though.

My wife and I looked into moving to Middletown about 6 years ago. The adult communities were on one side of town and the hospital was on the other, and there was one road connecting the two. Local residents told us that during rush hour the road was completely clogged and ambulances had a hard time getting through. That may have changed in recent years. Might be worth looking into.

The new toll road highway connects to 301 now. Cuts down on traffic.

The University of Delaware is in Newark. Small concert venues, and a great base to travel out to Philadelphia or Baltimore for bigger events.

A great family community.

I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

Seems home prices have skyrocketed in Delaware and Newark does seem nice. But wondering how Wyoming and Bear is to to live.

Do you mean Greenville, maybe? Lotsa old money there, but it's bordering on a gorgeous area that borders Andrew Wyeth's hood. We used to do a "Valley Cruise" driving the backroads between DE and PA. I would love to live there but getting back to civilization will require some patience, and I suspect your wife doesn't have much if she wants to surround herself with entertainment and the arts. That being said, NYC is two hours away, as is DC. Philly is around 30 min depending where you live.

Hockessin is another area worth looking, and prob closer to Cecil County too, though not close enough to be a motivator for consideration.

I lived there till I was 16 and while I know a lot, a lot has changed too, and sometimes "home" is fonder in the heart than in real life.

Greenwood Delaware and Georgetown Delaware
My wife and I always stay busy with travel and entertainment. We aren't getting any younger and want to get the most out of our next few years left.

DELAWARE
both are in sussex county which has even lower lower taxes then kent county which is just north of greenwood.

Greenwood is a small town, i live in the town just north of there, harrington. fortunately delaware is small and easy to get around when your out of new castle count (which is the northernmost county) there isnt much to do in greenwood, but your about 1/2 hour from rehobeth beach, under an hour from ocean city md, 10 minutes to harrington casino. 20 mintues north of the dragstrip and roundy round dirt track.

there are also tons of outlet stores in lewes de, tx free shopping

georgetown is more of a city, they have a few chicken plants there, therefore many "migrant" workers are in the area. outside of town isnt bad,
georgetown is east and alittle south of greenwood (closer to beach)

greenwood is about 1.25 hours from BWI + reagan airports. add 1/2 hour to philly or dulles

Wyoming DE is a just south of Dover in kent cty. dover has nightlife, closer to philly airport, and not really further or much further to BWI

you can always call to ask me more questions 302 398 0821, days
ive lived in harrington since 1995

Have you thought about the Eastern Panhandle of West Va? You could spit and hit Md, Va, Pa and DC.

Delaware is a radical liberal state our vegetable president resides from. And if you think NJ drivers are bad, drive around Delaware some and you will understand stupid. Oh and not a single person in this [censored] state was tought to stay right and pass left. Far too complicated.

We have moved alot in our lives with both my wife and I being military, One resource I wished we had then was this website.

http://www.city-data.com/

We have used it for many moves since its inception. It is full of good info. But for us it was always best to plan a trip to the area to get a feel and look at real estate before making a final decision. FWIW we lived in Rockville, MD while stationed at Walter Reed. It is an interesting area for sure. One thing it is not is CHEAP or car hobby friendly. Western MD seems very nice from our trips out that way. Mason Dixon dragway is a nice small track as well.

This is where I lived for about 3 years and loved it. Look near the intersection of I81 and I70. Hagerstown MD area.

Carlisle is just an hour up 81 North. I flew out of Regan a lot in downtown DC. BWI and Dulles also. All took a little over an hour depending on traffic.

Mason Dixon is right here near Boonsboro.

We lived near a small town called Falling Waters in WV. I have considered moving back there when I retire.
