Any time you improve the air and fuel amount into the motor it should go faster: up Same thing on making the motor bigger

Depends on the core shift of the individual heads. Also keep in mind that the addition of the bigger valves does nothing for performance unless the head is ported accordingly. The port will only move so much air, despite the valve size.

I built one for a friend last year, 438" with a 3.75" crank, 1969 383 block. The rotating assembly and heads were 440 Source. Very mild combo Hughes 228/232 @ .050" hydraulic cam, low deck Performer RPM intake, Holley 750 and small dyno headers. It made around 450 hp and 475 lb. ft of torque and even went to 6,000 rpm. Built to cruise and have good vacuum for power brakes. The dyno headers probably cost a few HP so he went with 1 7/8" TTi headers for when it goes in the car. Not terribly expensive to build. We ran the cost both ways and turned to be only slightly more than a full rebuild with reconditioned, stock-stroke parts. [video:youtube] https://youtube.com/shorts/Ckfj4bhwOh8?feature=share[/video]

I've had a lot of steel 440 cranks cut down on the mains to fit the B blocks and had the rod throw offset ground down to 2.20 BB Chevy rod size to make a cheap stroker years ago and even now I have two ocranks done for the 400 B blocks and one for a RB block 440 to make a 468 to 471 C.I. depending on where the bore size ends up being on the 440 block
