Grizzly69 OP enthusiast G Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 237 USA	How much in and out slop is acceptable on a power steering pump shaft ? I just bought a remanufactured Saginaw style pump, and when I went to install the pulley I noticed what seems to me to be excessive in and out movement on the shaft. about 0.060" or 1/16", possibly more. So, how much movement is too much ? Please be specific.

ledft79 mopar Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 587 minot north dakota	I don't think that I've ever seen a working PS pump that didn't have 1/8"+ of end play. Totally normal and probably necessary for some reason. DRIVE EM, DONT HIDE EM.
