Installed a restored Tic Tok Tach in my 440 RR but remembered it no longer has a ballast resistor on the ignition due to not having a points style distributor. Any reason why this would be an issue or negatively impact the tach?

" tach's" count the many times a "ground" pulse is given to determine RPM. It will still work with points,MSD or electronic ignition. And the ballast resistor goes on the positive side, constant voltage not the negative.

A ballast resistor has nothing to to with a factory tachometer.
