12 - 16,000 rpm, why won't my small block do that. Reminds me of being a kid in the Super 8 movies days. I strapped a camera to the front of my bike, it produced some amazing pictures.

Amazing the concentration needed, to be aware of all the upcoming turns and nuances in the road surface. I'm exhausted just watching, can't imagine racing that for any length of time.
I rented a video in the late '80s that included a 1-lap onboard camera on Joey Dunlop's bike. He was narrating his way around the course to give the viewer some perspective, but his accent made it hard for me to understand everything. The road course is long enough that the weather on one side of the island can be quite different than the other, as witnessed when he went into one section that was raining. If he was on dry-track slicks, that must have been pretty sketchy.
The Isle of Mann has claimed a number of lives over the decades; seems like every year there's a new casualty listed among the event's winners.
2021 Challenger 6.4L Scat Pack 1320 100% stock: 1.680, 11.894 at 113.75 (DA 175 ft) weight reduction, wheels, tires, Hellcat air box: 1.661, 11.686 at 115.97 (DA 710 ft)
1973 Challenger 452 ci street/strip [2008] pump gas, DOT radials: 1.454, 10.523 at 126.44 (DA 514 ft)
Going to the Isle of Man for the Manx Grand Prix (aka "Classic TT"), which is the same race that is in this video, later this year. I'll be sure to look around for any Mopars parked down the side streets near the Creg Ny Baa. Maybe someone on the island has a "bairn-find Heymi that hain't seen the light o'day for an age"

Just wow, I was scared watching it. No chance if you fall
Absolutely my favorite motorsport event of any kind. Thanks for posting
Yep it is amazing to watch. Only rivaled in my mind by the old "Group B" Rally days of the past.
It still amazes me that event doesn't kill a dozen guys a year...
My favorite were the Group B-derived cars that raced Pikes Peak in 80's. Helped a couple friends that raced in the stock car division during that time. Always was a bucket list item for me.
The Pikes Peak thing..... maybe. The motorcycle thing......nope, nope and he!! NO. I've done a lot of stupid things that could've killed me, but that would never be one of them.
The thing about the Isle of Man TT: If you make a mistake, before you can pronounce the "t!" after yelling "Shi-", your limp body is either wrapped around a tree or has been flung to the far corner of an adjacent field.

Maybe back in my 20's when I was bulletproof, or so I thought. Today, probably not.
Wow, incredible. Do these bikes idle at 5000rpm lol. Those guys must be fearless despite all the practice, training and familiarity with the course.
Topside, you're right that is a beautiful place. I'd love to drive a car through there at a good speed, taking the curves, accelerating. But NOTHING like these guys and on bikes!!!
