Wondering if anyone will share a datalog/ map so I can familiarize myself with the logging software. Not hearing much about the logging operation.
TIA!

There’s some good training guides online….

I just typed in FuelTech data logging map & a few vid options came up

nothing available on setting up/ using math channels. was hoping for a data log that i can play with to get more familiar with the software.

Looks like you get to be a Trendzsetter again.

Best of luck.

Its certainly popular enough. I don't know if you are on Facebook or not but sadly its probably got some great information in a FuelTech Group or something.

I am in a group for MegaLogViewer HD and people use it for Fueltech logs but I don't know if that is the primary log viewer for them or not. Megalogviewer can deal with anything than can export in the .csv format I believe.

You just had to say that name again, didn't you?

I never got that system ironed out. It never did any O2 correction, amongst other things. I'm pretty sure my system was hootched. I went Holley this time.

From what I have seen in there you should be able to export the Fueltech logs as a .CSV file and view them in Megalog viewer. I don't know how long its been since you used it but they have an HD version now. Its really the only one I have used so I can't say how different it is from the original.

Feets would your turbo car have been on MS1 or MS2? I really like my MS3X stuff. The fact that I had to build the ECU really helped me learn the whole EFI thing and how it works. If I were to do it again with someone else's money I might go Holley Dominator but my MS3X+Microsquirt(for IO expansion) has been rock solid and only about $1000 invested in both ECUs. Holley makes a Dash that cost more than my entire EFI setup from bumper to bumper but it is pretty awesome.

I still have a few Electromotive ecus laying around. Im pretty comfortable using them after solving every issue I ran across with them over the years. After using the Holley stuff though, I wouldn’t consider ever buying another Electromotive system. Can’t go wrong with the Holley. Great support and a seemingly reliable platform. I always suggest going with the flagship ecu, but I see now Holley has come out with an expansion box for inputs and outputs if you need to expand on the HP platform.
I went with Fueltech mainly for the compact dash built into the ecu, and the many “drag” oriented features. Things I don’t like about it… no knock control (you may be able to do this through the can network, but as far as I can tell, they don't have a module for it), and as far as I can tell, there isn’t a way to build custom tables like with a Holley, or build your own math channels (though the ones i need are already included)
The fueltech FT600 comes with 32 outputs and 24 inputs. That sounds like a lot, but depending on how you configure the ecu, they get consumed quick. The 32 outputs need to be configured for what you need to work. I am running 16 injectors. If I would choose to run them all sequential, that would leave me with 16 outputs left. of those 16 outputs, I want to run 8 individual coils. That would leave me with 8 outputs. You need 4 outputs just for idle speed control. that would leave 4 open outputs. Now you still need a fuel pump output, a fan output, leaving 2 free outputs for the many available features the ecu has. So I configured the injection as 8 true sequential for the primary injectors, and 4 phased sequential for the secondary injectors. this gives me an additional 4 outputs, while still allows individual cylinder fuel trim.
I could gain another 4 outputs wiring the coils as waste spark, but I want to be able to use the individual cylinder timing trim if I need it.
Inputs are the same story. they go quick. Especially when you consider that it is a dashboard also. In addition to all the sensors that make the engine run, you need to think of what a dash needs(in a street car) shift indicator, dimming, rt turn, left turn, speed, etc…. I bought the input expansion module (can bus) for an additional 24 inputs.
It’s a lot to think about, but I’m looking forward to getting it going.

One of the main math channels I wanted was for input shaft RPM. There is no physical way to put an input shaft speed sensor on my trans. The only way to data log the input shaft speed is through math calculations of the output shaft speed and gear ratios per gear. Luckily it is all built into the software. this will be a counterweighted slipper clutch on a clutchflite trans, so input shaft speed is more of a need than a want.
