Car is all steel 1970 Cuda, iron 383 block/heads, alum intake, headers, power steering.
(4-speed, 3.91 gears.)
I might put the battery in the trunk.

I have MP 1.00-inch T-bars and Koni 80-1538 shocks, and poly bushings, 15 x 8 wheels.

So,
What would you pick for a sway bar ? Car is just a streetmobile so I wonder if it makes a great deal of difference.

Hellwig hollow/tubular is best value for front. The Ebody bars are very simple all brands will function same.

Hotchkis is best fine detail and fine quality. Do you need the added roll resistance of the 1 1/4” vs the hellwig 1 1/8” ? The Hotchkis comes with weld on tabs that look sorta stock. But if you already have tabbed lower control arms, that’s irrelevant.

Sounds like a aggressive street driven car… I think Hellwiig would be appropriate

You didn't mention what your rear set up is like, which will need to compliment the front. But, 1.125 solid and 1.25 hollow bars are very similar in rate, but the hollow bar is lighter, and both will compliment a factory XHD type or rear set up with a light leaf rate with a rear sway bar. A 1.25 solid bar is a fair amount higher in resistance. I wouldn't us it up front unless you have significantly heaver leaf springs and have added a rear sway bar.

Thanks guys.

Rear setup is SS springs, I forget which pair. 15x10 wheels (offset springs).

I haven't bought rear shocks yet, but I did buy OE sway bar mounts, but not a bar, which I think is 3/4 (??).

Go with the 1.25" hollow front sway bar... multiple distributors not just Hotchkis... FF also sells it (and at a lower cost).

For the rear, request FF to make you a larger than stock (3/4" solid rear bar)... ask them to make you at least 7/8" or better yet 1". I have a 1" stock shaped rear solid bar... far better than the skinny factory 3/4" rear bar. I suggest this because our E-bodies are nose-heavy, even with a small block, worse with a BB. A larger rear bar, such as 1" diameter, will much better reduce the common understeer that our E-bodies have, and... it is not overly large in comparison to the factory 3/4" rear bar. You will only say.. wow... a 1" rear bar (with a 1.25" front bar) is THE BETTER SETUP. Its much better balanced setup.

Or else, get a low-cost (with high quality, IMO) HELWIG rear bar.. measures 7/8" diameter, easily mounts to the differential and is 3-step adjustable... set it at the third step of maximum stiffness.

By the way, the FF front hollow 1,25" bar actually measures at 1-5/16" (per my caliper measuring). Also...... be certain to check the front sway bar end-link area.. it may require slight radius grinding to better clear the LCA.

Thanks Mitch !

Could anyone give me the C-to-C distance of the endlink holes on a rear bar for E-body ?

I have it in my head that a rear A-body bar is 44". Reason I ask is that I moved my springs 1.5" per side.
So just wondering, just possibly, if I could use an A-body rear bar.

I got the 1.250 hollow front bar.
Now looking at Bilstein shocks for the rear, evidently the lower mounting eye on the Koni is too small.
Probably go to Firm Feel. Still unsure about the rear bar given that the springs are moved in.

I seem to recall seeing an inboard spring set up that used a 1.5" offset link bar instead of swapping the entire sway bar to a narrower unit.

FWIW, E body spring perch center to center width = 46", A body = 43". Since the factory bar mounted to a plate set under the spring mount that centered off the spring perch, this should also apply to the sway bar link dimension.

You could always call Firm Feel and talk to them in greater about A body dimensions as well as ordering that rare, factory frame hung A body rear bar.

Wouldn't hurt to read this thread if you haven't commited to a decision yet.
