Tractor and truck pullers will put the hammer down and hightail it in the dirt for the Inaugural World Series of Pulling presented by Ohio Cat, July 21-23, 2022 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Tickets will go on sale at 12 p.m. March 21, 2022.

The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League event marks the very first time that Summit Motorsports Park, which is home to sportsman and professional drag racing, has ever presented tractor and truck pulling.

Professionals will carefully cover the park's quarter-mile in dirt for Super Modified Tractors, Hot Rod Semis, Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, Pro Stock Tractors, Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Pro Modified 4WD Trucks, Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Super Farm Tractors, Light Weight Super Stock Tractors and Mini Rod Tractors, and then have it drag race-ready in time for the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise the following weekend, July 29-31.

Pullers will be competing for a share of a $250,000 purse at the eagerly awaited event which will also offer activities, live music and a fireworks show.

“Our drag racers and drag race fans know about the Norwalk Experience, and now we’re going to take everything we have learned in the past fifty years and apply it to this event, so that pullers and pulling fans also know about the Norwalk Experience,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “We want to make this one of the best pulling events in the country.”

It is hard to believe that an event like Monster Mopar could not be scheduled. For those that have not been it is big by any standard, not just Mopar stuff. That Pulling series is no joke though. LOTS of money and big payouts. Pretty entertaining as well for the fans. Mopar events have ALWAYS struggled to get fans to show up which is how the tracks make money. Lots of cars and racers NOT butts in seats watching.

From my understanding Norwalk itself didn’t put on the show, Josh King did? Didn’t he rent the track, and the track supplied all the personal? Maybe the track just didn’t want to deal with Josh anymore?

Monster Mopar ….. best mopar race I have ever been to , Norwalk probably the best track I’ve ever raced at ….. sucks that this event is in limbo right now . I talk to Josh a lot , but I don’t even ask . There is another group putting on 3-4 ? KOS races this year . They starting with Rockingham April 16th . Monster Mopar was just picking up some steam with the KOS stuff , I hope the momentum keeps going .

Norwalk from what’s been going around is there going to put there own mopar race on next yr so I time will tell

Norwalk wants the Mopar show. It was said this pulling thing is why its over. That isnt true. More to it than that.
In fact, from what i understand, the track itself intends to bring back the Mopar event next year.
In the meantime, it appears Dragway 42 wisely decided to use those dates to do a Mopar deal that same week this year themselves to fill the void.

None of these Mopar events in and of themselves are that spectacular on paper. What makes them so great is Mopar people actually go to them. Many folks in our little section of this hobby won't leave their house if it's a mixed manufacturer event unfortunately. Hemi shootouts are hard to beat though.

Even the Pontiac race at Norwalk is spectacular.
