Any chrome platers in Michigan or Ohio that can handle a 1 inch diameter by 7 ft 4 inch long steering rod for dragster. All places I called in Michigan cannot handle the length. I heard someone in Ohio can. Anyone know which company it may be. Thanks

Typically not a good idea to chrome plate steering or suspension parts unless they can be baked. Doubt you are going to find anyone who has that big of an oven. You might want to consider powder coating or painting.

Great suggestion IMO.
Depending on the usage IE actual comp or just show maybe an appropriately sized Aluminum or SS would be a substitute,
There may be some aluminum based power coats that can be polished as well, might also check with the "spray on Chrome" suppliers and see if anybody is near you. beer

Jon Wright's Custom Chrome Plating in Grafton, Ohio.............expensive but the best from what I've heard up

CCP’s tanks are large enough to plate bumpers, and we can accommodate some parts longer than 8 feet. We do not have a hoist line, so weight is restricted to what two workers are able to lift comfortably.

Lebrandi's in PA. has tanks big enough, & they are very good. There are some LONG truck stacks - up to 120" that very few platers can handle. Also Linclon Plating in Lincoln, NEB. Also Advanced Custom Chrome in Erie, PA. (giving you a few trade secrets...)

Jon Wright did all the chrome on my 300g convertible. Outstanding job. At they time they were booked out a ways.
