This is an industry first.

DoctorDiff 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern conversion axles fit '62-'72 A-body 7.25" rearends. Must use open ended 1/2"-20 lug nuts.

Will NOT fit '73-'76 A-body 7.25" rears.

New 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern 7.25" 9" and 10" drums are also available.

73-76 7.25 with BBP has a larger wheel bearing on it Jim. The spacing for the brake is also different.

I assume Dr Diff's new LBP axles would use the normal 4.5" pattern brakes so they ought to have the same spacing as the 73-76 axles do.

So, can the 73 and up 7.25 10” brake drums and backing plates be used on a 8.75?

''73 and newer 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern brakes taken from a 7.25" rear will interchange onto a 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern 8.75" rear.

My new 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern 7.25" conversion axles use stock '72 and earlier 9" or 10" A-body drum brake hardware and backing plates. You must re-drill the brake drums or purchase my new 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern drums.
