On January 3rd we ordered some expensive parts from Holley, their website noted they were in stock... We waited for a shipping confirmation but none was received, so we sent them on January 15th an email following up. (2) days later they sent an email advising the parts would be shipped on January 26th. We did recheck their website that noted the parts would be in stock on January 31st. Again we waited a few days expecting a shipping confirmation but still nothing was received. Again on February 2nd we sent another email requesting an update, but still no response from Holley. So on February 5th we sent another email requesting a clarification. Still today on February 7th no response from Holley, so I called them and was put on-hold for 17 minutes finally connecting with their customer support. The person I was talking with switched me to somebody else for more information, unfortunately I was disconnected during the call. I did call once again and after 12 minutes did connect with another support person, he then told me that the parts would be shipped on February 28th and March 18th. Then I asked why did their website note that parts would be in stock on January 31st, he had no explanation for this discrepancy. To me I fully understand during the Covid period there are personnel staff and shipping delays but why does a company the size of Holley become so incompetent. As having an updated website will save a lot time for their support team answering product availability and shipping info. I have ordered significant performance parts from Summit and Jegs and though both have experienced some delays at least I could get correct updated information on stock and shipments. Note that I just received this boilerplate response from Holley...

"Thank you for your order. Like many companies, across all markets, we too, are seeing some delays in our supply chain. It is possible you may see some delays on your order and we apologize for that. We are working to get your order to you as quickly as possible and we continue to invest in product capacity, inventory and improved shipping processes to ensure the best possible customer experience. We strive to provide industry leading customer support and service. We regret when any customer has a poor experience with our support or service. We are attempting to reach the customer for resolution..."

In closing, I sincerely hope that Holley improves their information systems and website as to minimize further customer frustrations... In the meantime, I will just wait hoping things will improve..

Just my $0.02... wink

They had all of their T-shirts plastered all over on sale for $10 here recently on Facebook, etc. (nice shirts, too!)

If you have something on sale you (I) would assume it's in stock and you're getting rid of excess stock.

Nope, took 3 months to get them.

Not really upset, just thought it was odd to advertise something you don't have.

Yup...
IMHO...
I think Holley has gotten too big absorbing so many other brands, and has lost control of their business....
Hopefully they will realize the loss of business as their sales decrease and correct their shortcomings....
Regarding the website info accuracy, this can easily be out-sourced but frequently an internal operations executive tries to handle this and fails to grasp the lost business.

Just my $0.02.... wink

lol. Take a look at JEGS. I guess they at least didn't lie when they said if you ordered a small block air-gap intake it wouldn't be avail until the end of June.

As I mentioned in my original post... wink
Jegs & Summit at least provide accurate inventory levels on their website, if the product delivery is delayed like it frequently at least they provide a target availability date...

Just my $0.02... wink

Holley has been this way for a long time. I don’t see it getting better anytime soon.

It's because most of their parts come from overseas now. It's not like they can walk out to the shop and talk to the assemblers or foreman about the manufacturing schedules. They keep pushing the ship date out because the boat hasn't been unloaded yet. Same thing happened to me recently with a fuel tank. This is what happens when investment firms soak up all these brands.

not necessarily. i ordered a set of wheels from summitt back in october, and the clerk i talked to insured me they were in stock. in fact, he said there were 10 wheels in stock.
well, guess what boys and girls, i get a letter saying delivery would not occur until february !
if the wheels would have been for me, i would have cancelled the order. however, the guy the wheels are for, said that was ok. except my CC was charged for them at the time of order. not real happy about that.

Typical EVERYWHERE. It's 2022 - what do you want? Businesses don't return calls even if you leave a message, as far as data: garbage-in, garbage-out. Mostly, people just don't care about customer service anymore.

This is true, but this is because most customers don't care about customer service anymore either (at least they aren't willing to pay anything for it). They will just buy from whatever website gives them the cheapest price.

Since we procure/develop consumer electronics and home automation products from the Orient we know well about the chip situation, boats and port backup..
My biggest gripe is that Holley doesn't provide accurate updates on their website, and if they did they would greatly decrease customer calls requesting order followup. Even their phone support team has too much BS and inaccurate information..
An updated website is pertinent in todays business environment.

And the Holley building was damaged pretty severely in the tornado's that hit Bowling Green, but they should be able to tell you something other than what they did... tsk

Once again...
Holley has advised the shipping date has slipped once again.
Now the availability has been pushed back 75 days, totally unacceptable.
So we cancelled our order.

Hopefully sometime in the future Holley will fix their website and communication problems, and provide accurate products and shipping information to their own support staff and customers.

I spoke with a Holley Rep at SickWeek Gainesville Raceway today. He stated they have the ECU's but the harnesses are being supplied by three manufacturers. The demand is very high and they are pushing them out ASAP. As for the expected ship dates, the ones provided are usually the latest the customer will receive the part. FWIW.

Thanks.
Well noted.
IMHO...
Holley has lost control of their sales operation over its multiple brands.
This happens whenever a company expands too quickly and/or doesn't provide adequate training to its customer/technical staff.
In my case I needed basic product availability information, sadly they couldn't provide this.

Hopefully they will realize they are losing business and in the future apply corrective measurements to improve the situation.
