It is hard for me to measure with the engine in the car. Maybe someone can get more exact measurements.
The rear of the sump is angled. About 10" at the bottom, and roughly 9.6" at the height of the steering linkage.
The front is very hard to measure in the car; roughly 4" from the front of the sump at the top, more at bottom of sump.

This is in my Cuda. It was so long ago I don't remember the brand I purchased. But I did add a swinging door to help (a little) with deceleration and oil moving forward.

THANKS looks like hemi pan will clear my tie rod, definitely will have to notch k-frame, wix makes a 2 qt filter (1773), maybe can use with stock 5/4 qt pan, would like to get more oil in pan, nhra stocker has to have stock style pan
rule states I can notch crossmember for oil pan removal

The pan you have looks like the 1966 to 1969 Hemi pan based on how it hangs down below the K member, the Hemi cars and some of the 440 cars had a skid plate welded on them to help prevent those oil pans from dragging and hitting over speed bumps when going fast scope
Look at Summit for their 1970/1971 hemi and six Pack 6-quart oil pans and the stock 3/8-inch RB oil pick up scope The sump is longer and shallower so no need for the skid plate and works really well on street cars, I use them all the time now for any 1966 to 1971 B and E body B, RB or 426 Street Hemi motors I build up
I had one on my old pump gas Duster stoker motor, it ran as fast as 134.+ MPH at 9.993 ET in the 1/4 mile with no oiling issues as long as it had the oil level above the add mark before making a run, if I ran it at one quart low it would start to loose oil pressure about 200 ft after the finish line letting after letting off tsk
Summit oil pan part # G3511, Melling pick up part # 63-S4 scope

down Sorry Cab you are wrong. 66-67 was one pan 5qt. 68 they moved to the 6 Qt pan. 68-9 same pan. 70-71 went to the hemi/6pack 6qt pan. Different shape probably because of sway bar change. But 68-71 are 6 qt pans.

So is that considered a 7 quart system? 6 in the pan and one in the filter?

I'll look in my 1969 Dodge FSM in the morning and see what they said the oil capacity was for the Street Hemi was when it was published: work:
I don't remember ever hearing of a stock street hemi oil pan holding 6 quarts in them until 1970 work

It takes a big man to admit that , Cab.
And a bigger man to admit it on the internet. laugh2
I'm not even exaggerating when I say that you have forgotten more than I know about these things.
