A problem with owning a particular pinball machine is that, in just a few months.., you become EXTREMELY proficient with it.

Eventually guests get bored because you yourself can keep a ball in play for ten, twenty times longer than they can.

I learned that after owning “F 14 Tomcat”

“Flipper cradling” the ball to setup perfect target shots becomes routine. As well is subconsciously learning exact “tilt” parameters, and using that to your advantage.

I ended up selling it.

I had 3 of the early Williams electronic machines from the 1970's, found exactly the thing. If you enjoy them, you play them, and you become an expert. Pretty soon they're collecting dust.

I've got two pinball machines in my shop. The plus is I don't have time to play them too often so they never get old. I can see why people trade them from time to time. I've never been good at finishing video games for the same reason, get bored of them before I can get to the end.
