During the restoration of my 70 Super Bee, I found something I’ve never seen before. On the front of the lower radiator support crossmember (the one that’s under the radiator), there was writing under the blackout paint, but on top of the original blue paint. It looked like it was from a wide black marker, and appeared to say “E \ \ W”. Letters were approximately 1 1/2” tall. Anyone know what that is all about?

Not sure what it means, but the same sort of thing was on my Dad's Superbird. He put it back on during the restoration.

My 71 Road Runner has the paint code/stripe color put on the rear seat support.

I had a 70 Dart years ago like that. It was a Windsor car, I always wondered if any other plants did it that way.
