Okay so I have a situation…
I have a 1971 satellite that was cloned into a roadrunner. The former owner switched from a bench seat into buckets from a Cuda (not sure what year). When they switched to the buckets they didn’t install the reinforcements in the floor pans for the bucket seats causing one of the bolts to tear through the floor pan. Also, when I found this I noticed some goofy brackets they had to install on the inside (transmission hump side) of the seat brackets to make them level to the B body floor pan. I’m hoping that somebody here can tell me if there is a good solution to fixing this problem without having to buy new seats? These buckets are in great shape, and I can get the reproduction reinforcement plates (bought from Mancini Racing) welded in place as the factory had designed. Any solutions out there? Or maybe somebody has some 1971 B-Body seat tracks?

Thanks ahead of time!

Well, the front floor pans on ebodies and 71 b bodies is the same. I’ve believe the 71 b body tracks are taller about an inch. You could space them up and be good to go.

I will try and post some pictures here shortly. They appear to be factory E-Body tracks. They have a bent Z shaped bar used as a spacer on the transmission tunnel side track only. In pictures they appear to be at least 2” shorter than factory B body tracks. If I wanted to make a proper spacer how could I do that?
Thanks!

So here are some pictures of the drivers side. Does anybody recognize what tracks these are from? And do you think it would be okay to swap some E body tracks in there after the floor has been welded up with the factory bucket seat plates?

Looks like they are uploading properly. Just had to resize them.

Those are not 70-74 ebody tracks. I don’t know what they are. May not even be Mopar.

Well then I take that as good news! Plan is to try some E body tracks later today and if they work reasonably then I’ll have the support plates welded in next week

Look at this ad from FBBO and you'll see how the 71/74 B body tracks are

https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/1972-74-b-body-bucket-seats.146736/

Or this from eBay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/303993315918

Inners are incorrectly mounted on the eBay ad thought! Maybe need to be changed between buckets from side to side.
