Hello.
I acquired a 2016 6.4 intake from a Jeep SRT blown engine.
I has piston pieces in it.
Is their a way to properly clean it out? If so how?

Thanks

Cleaning solvent and then hot soapy water and blow it out with high air pressure wrench
Check it thoroughly before using up

I wouldn't trust cleaning it because unless you can split it apart there is no way to know you get everything out .

The 2 piece molded and sealed together intakes these use makes it pretty much impossible to know you have everything flushed out.

I totally agree, unless you can account for every spec of a broken piston and or valve seat that is missing there is no way to know if you got it all out.

Do not use that intake. You are asking for problems.

Assuming it's got the active intake with variable runner length, I'd imagine there's lots of little areas that could hold bits and pieces. Easy to say just go buy another one, but they aren't cheap, but neither are short blocks. Cut your losses gets my vote

Get a camera that attaches to your phone.
Probe the inside of the intake.
Takes nothing but time.

Clean it out well and spray with a pressure washer. Use a camera if it makes you feel better. It will be fine. If you decide not to use it, I will buy it. Dyno
