what is the correct method to spray this paint, and have it come out like it is supposed to ? i have tried this stuff using every way imaginable, even FOLLOWING the instructions to a T, and i just can't get the finish it is supposed to be. not even remotely close ! does anyone else make a hammertone paint in a spray can ? [please don't say krylon - i HATE that stuff !] TIA to those WAY smarter than me on this subject !

I used it once and ended up with a solid smooth color so was rather disappointed. Wonder if they have any how-to videos out there that help?

You have to put it down pretty heavy and wet for it to do the hammered thing, where it looks to be full of fisheye. I did my shop cabinets with it.

i have tried laying it on wet and heavy, but then you get runs on vertical surfaces. i have shaken it six ways from sunday, made sure the temperature was 60 or higher with the item, as well as the outside temperature, and still no luck. i'm almost ready to try a light mist of wd-40 on something as a test to see what that would do. or just forget the spray cans and try the brush on stuff with a foam brush.
