Any way to add a slip yoke in the driveshaft so I can use a rv 727 with bolt on yoke in a car?

Many of the 70s Dodge 4x4 trucks also had a bolt on driveshaft at the transfer case. Those had a short shaft with a splined end, and the the back section had the female splined end and went back to the regular U joint at the rear end. Essentially the slip joint was in the front section of the driveshaft. you could use a driveshaft like that in a car. Gene

This isn't Cuba, man. Why make things hard for yourself? The correct parts aren't hard to find.

The OP wants to use an RV 727 "in a car". Depending on the car, there may be no "correct parts".

Shooot...I have 5 Big Block 727s out back, a few 904s too. Not sure when I'll use them.

kind of use what you got and run what you brung deal.

I have used those short shaft 727s in my 68 dart a couple times. bolts right in and yoke just clears xmember, I then used a 4x4 drive shaft after a cut & balance for the slip yoke/7260 yokes. never had an issue but always ran the slip yoke at the rearend.

The R.V. came with one, go get it and use it with your stock drive shaft twocents
I'm going to do that, use a R/V short BB 727 tranny in my new drag car, after I get the biggest and strongest front slip yoke out there from my local agricultural H.D. drive shaft maker up
