I have the original Midland type booster on my 73 Challenger. I was hoping to send it to be rebuilt but it may be to rusty to have rebuilt. So. With the exception of The Ram Man, what has anyone used to replace the booster? What system is available to bolt in and replace the old system? Any help is appreciated.

If not worried about originality you can change to the Cordoba booster and newer aluminum 2 bolt type master. (Cardone 54-73870)

I believe this rebuild kit would allow you to rebuild it your self.

Midland-Ross Rebuild Kit

I am not a '70's guru but IIRC the Midland boosters are plated, not painted. I've seen people take the painted Bendix units that were rusty and skim coat them with JB-Weld and then repaint them. I don't think you have that option. Surely there are used units out there that may be a better choice. Good luck.

Wow! Then you need to run out and buy a lotto ticket with that luck! Lol.
