I definitely have a opinion and comment but not suited for here. It would have to be on unmoderated forum.

Just keep throwing fuel on this inflation situation. What a bunch of crap. I understand that Ebay, PayPal, etc. offer a platform that is beneficial to sellers and buyers alike and to shut that door would be a shame. Honestly, I think that regardless of the selling platform the government will continue to find a means to get there hands in the pie no matter what. That being said, prices will continue to rise as sellers look to recover these lost revenues. So, higher prices or less government overreach... Hyper inflation, here we come...

Does anyone really think that congress will ever repeal a tax once it becomes law. Im sure it has happened at some point in history but be pretty newsworthy these days. Once they get their paws on an income stream they tend to keep it. But ya never know. Maybe this will bring back the good ole fashioned swap meet again.

I’ll be wrapping up my seller account on eBay on the 31st, after 22 years. I may start a new account just for small junk that takes forever to sell. But, no more big sales on eBay anymore. Craigslist is about the only tax-free zone for 2022. Almost all sites (including FB Marketplace) will be required to report income over $600.00 starting on 1/1/22.
