mopars with SSsprings do not need traction bars. The short front spring segment works as a traction bar

4 speed street legal. Best time 10.99 @ 124 mph on 93 octane pump gas @ 3926# total weight

It depends on the car and the power your going to have.
You must use either a slider or floater set up on the springs so the ladder bars can work properly up scope weld wrench

Some thing must move when you are dealing with two different lengths of suspension travel. 32 inch ladder 20 inch front segment of the spring. Because of the two lengths they can not travel together. So back in the day you would have the rear end slide on the spring to make up for the binding or two different arcs.

In 1971 from what I have seen most put on 002 003 Super Stock Springs. Also used the relocation kit that moved the spring into the Frame rail. A lot of Vehicles shortened their wheel bases this way and by altering the front suspension. Ladder bars generally showed up in 1973. If you look around you can find an NHRA rule book from 1971 or 1972. There are rules in the book on type of motor and what you could use as a hood scoop, either 5 inch or 7 inch. Also the book tells of the changes in body panels to glass you could do and what they had to look like. Many other rules in the book. Working on a 1972 Ex Pro Stock car at present, Took the ladder bars out because they were not used on the car in 1972 and were put in the car to run C Altered in 1974. Now one problem is how fast can you want go on super stock spring to be safe. The Cuda we are rebuilding could go into the eights at 150 MPH plus. Keeping the car straight on launch and top end could be a problem and likely going to run Caltracs because I have seen them work at these time and speed.

I tried SS with ladder bar on my hemi MP car back in the 70's. I had no success. Was told by DC that the SS fought against the ladder bar. Took them off and ran the ladder bar and ran the best. 4spd!

Have to run a slider with a ladder bar and SS springs. The Cuda we are working on ran the SS springs and Ladder bar in C/Altered in 1973 74 75 and was a Division Champion.
