J ... that on line gaming ? .... is too scary for me. IN PERSON is tilted to the benefit of the house ... tsk

And the IN PERSON stuff ... they don’t build those monstrosity casinos and hotels off the winners ... SO ...

... a good man GOTSTA know his limitations!

Walking distance to most of the big casinos and shows. You would only spend for travel and eats. I spent a good time there. I was shocked by them and I also won some money. Till then I was only playing online casinos games, as I don't have a casino in my town. However, I will continue playing online as it is more comfortable because you can play from anywhere. Btw .... how’s Vegas real estate values these days ?

Real estate in Vegas is stupid expensive at the moment. Wait for the crash - it shouldn't be too far off.

I recommend Excalibur or Circus Circus. They're old, outdated, cheap, and well below average overall. A perfect match for you. thumbs

I've stayed in a variety of places in Vegas over the past 10 years. I used to attend an annual sporting event so it gave me a chance to check out a lot of things.

Hotels:

I stayed at Circus Circus with my kids last summer because they have a water park. I had to stand in line for every bit of 90 minutes to check in. After that, it was an okay experience. Don't let the cheap prices full you. They will charge you a $79 resort fee on top of the $39 / a night you're paying to stay there.

My favorite moderately priced place in Vegas has been the Rio. It's off the strip about 1 mile, but that never bothered me. The rooms are HUGE for a hotel, about 700sq feet if I remember correctly with some good views too.

My wife and I stayed at the TRUMP tower and as expected, it was top-notch.

Restaurants:

Fast Food: Rasing Canes

Moderately Priced: Whalburgers on the strip, Skinny Fats is hard to beat, and Bubba Gumps if you like themed places with a nice balcony that overlooks the strip.

Expensive: Not a lot of experience here, but I'd happily eat at "Top Of The World" again, which is on the 106th floor of the Stratosphere on the older side of the strip. Figure $100+ per person. I liked everything about it far better than I did Hell's Kitchen which had an extremely limited menu.

Attractions:

Everything I've done is family friendly, except for Carrot Top, that was a mistake (for me).

Fremont Street is pretty cool, although you never know what you might see there, lol.
