For the record, I'm not the one who gave you your custom title. laugh2

I recommend Excalibur or Circus Circus. They're old, outdated, cheap, and well below average overall. A perfect match for you. thumbs

Been to Vegas twice, gambled neither time. Got hammered with a bunch of guys I served with at a reunion in '19, glory days as the Boss would say.

Found nothing cheap there though.

Why not drive the RV, a lot of casinos have full hook up sites on the property for free or very cheap.

Ok hear me out for cheap. IHG (Holiday Inn) has a vacation deal going on. I signed up for it. It's a time share resort so be prepared for the hour long sales pitch, but just say not interested after the presentation. Your get 4 days, 3 nights in Vegas at their time share complex just off the strip for $249, when you check in they give you $249 in cash back so it cost nothing except a quick sales meeting. It is located right behind the huge ferris wheel one block from the main strip. Walking distance to most of the big casinos and shows. You would only spend for travel and eats. We are going later this year. It will be my second trip to Vegas. IHG Vacations has other properties around the country also if you are interested.

I believe NONE of the buffets are open in Vegas right now - you know - COVID. PLUS, not all the places are even open 7 days. My wife & daughters are going out there in early April, I'm not going out there to wear a mask around see the place half shut-down - that's not Vegas to me. They wanted to fly out Tuesday & come back Friday, but The Mirage is only open Thurs.- Monday noon. AND, their great buffet is closed.

I'll go back to Vegas again on business & fun when the world gets back to normal again - IF that ever happens!

We were there a year ago for a wedding and family reunion, when everything was open and normal. Several things that struck me is that all the casino floor plans are pretty much the same. If you didn't know what hotel you were in, it would be hard to guess by the gaming floors.

And with every hotel we went to, every hotel floor smelled of pot. Not a little.. a lot. You may not notice, Doc (kidding).

Prices sure did vary! Sure, it was $8 for a can of beer at this hotel bar, but wander across the gaming floor and there was another bar selling it for $3. Same for food.

We decided to get together for Viva Las Vegas, but then Fauxvid hit.... so we'll try again this year.

But yeah, get on line and check the area out as there are still lots of restrictions.

Just got back yesterday. My wife is a Diamond card holder with Caesars so we got airfare(from Chicago Midway), ground transfers, and room at Caesars for 4 nights for $70. Covid stupidity abounds!! Stay 6ft apart at the airport until TSA then everyone is stacked together until they packed you on a plane 6 seats wide and 30 rows.

Get out there and Caesars food court is mostly closed UNLESS you want Starbucks overpriced crappy coffee, they're open but the burger place 10 ft away is closed. Walk across the street to Flamingo(another Caesars property)their food court is wide open!Table games all have plexi-glass between people but you can sit at a bank of slots with strangers.....Covid stupidity at it's best.

Still a nice get-away from the cold and snow!!!

I don't stay at those places. I just know who does. laugh2

My favorite hotel is Cosmopolitan. They also had my favorite buffet, the Wicked Spoon, but it is closed now. $40/person and worth it.

I picked up my last motor home in Tucson and drove it up to lake havasue .....

If I had known that Vegas was only a couple hundred miles from there I would have put the pedal down on the 5.9 Cummins 12 valve up

Oh I’m WELL AWARE of the art of BLACK TOP BOONDOCKING !

Doc, try rolling up in a nursing home there and try to score some Geritol, it might be a great convo starter. The old folks know where the deals are.
