Known Paul for years. He was here yesterday for some show and tell with the different blocks and gaskets. Neat project. I wish him all the best. Heck I want to build one already.

Solid head or water head?

Hemi or wedge block?

Im assuming these will require custom built headers, intake.
Hoping these test out well, appreciate someone is doing this work and thus, hope the thread gets updated .

My question is why, not trying to poo poo his dreams but plenty of heads out there now than can support that power level. Just sayin....

Awesome....

Tell you what, if I had won the lottery, I would be making billet Mopar heads...Just because. I always wanted to try and resurrect the 4-valve heads made back in the 90's, and also find a company to make a 4.9 centerline block and go nuts...making some next level heads. Glad someone is trying it out.

Not to mention he stated the total package would be somewhere in the $15k range in the comments of the post...

wish Paul well, and buy a lottery ticket. If you win, sky's the limit. If you don't, and Paul does well keep your nose to the ground for used predators and B1Mcs😁

He has machined these heads himself? I recall there was a guy talking about machining billet BBM heads in one of the cylinder head FB groups I'm in.

There is a satisfaction in creating something like this from scratch, he'd invest a lot of time and some $$$ in material. I wish I had the time to do more stuff like it.

Even at 15K for his time and materials he isn't making money. But as has been said before I would hope this new head eclipses what is available, hate to see his good efforts be in vain. Also, before he hits 'send' on the cnc I hope he's considered valvetrain geometry.

If I were 'him' lolol...I'd consider digitizing a successful head i.e. Goodwins 600XXX and make some changes/improvements.

I have a question so please forgive my ignorance and maybe I missed the point or didn't understand the original intent of the project, Why would you make a billet head based on the stock valve layout instead of like a Predator head ? Or at least venture off into a splayed valve head design like whats used in some of the 481X applications ?
AG?
