Interesting and cool, but not cheap. shock

It made me think of one of the Star Trek movies where Kirk gets a pair of reading glasses for his birthday and it's discussed that he's allergic to the prescription medicine that is normally prescribed for vision correction (I think that they called it Retinal). laugh2

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Wow that's pretty amazing. I would imagine like many drugs the price will slowly come down.

Facts are stubborn things.

Interesting! Sitting here with my readers on right now. Wouldn't mind losing them (on purpose).

Doubtful since reading glasses are cheaper than the drops.

$80 bucks a month retail is not bad. And some of us may not use the drops every day saving a little bit. I don't know about you, but I easily waste more than 2 and a half bucks a day on stuff I could really do without. How much do many spend on coffee every day? And then there's the fact that I destroy several pairs of 'cheaters' every month. So, in the end, it wouldn't cost much extra out of the budget. I think I will try to get a trial of the drops.

Eh, I dunno...shrinking the pupil size lets less light in - hence the advisory to not drive at night - but there is something to pupil size and blurry vision.
I've noticed that during checkups after last year's eye surgeries for a detached retina and cataracts, but in reverse: dilated = blurry.
Learned a lot about eyesight: it's a very sensitive system, but not unlike how a camera works.
I can't imagine eye drops can do anything for the shape and the bio-mechanics inside the eye.

My mistrust for the FDA would be enough to keep me from messing with my eyes, just to get rid of a pair of reading glasses. Then figure in the cost, just to get rid of a pair of $5 glasses? No Thanks. Gene

Gene I would at least agree that waiting awhile would be prudent. 5 years or even more maybe.

iagree My cheaters have been working well for many years, and I have a pair almost everywhere I'd possibly need them.

Will I die from or impact the vision of my other family members by not using drops?
Do I really know the long term side effects from using readers or the drops?

Tough decision, huh? eyes

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

You are nothing if not consistent there, jcc. You do not need a forum named for you. No one on this board will ever forget you. Your posts will continue to entertain for years to come and some may even use them to teach 'what not to do grammatically'. That is your true legacy.

Rather than a forum name, how about a 'Greatest Hits Misses" compilation?
