Anyone in the Baton Rouge,LA or surrounding areas know of a good “old car” alignment place?
1971 Plymouth road runner. She is very “dartie” lots of oversteer. Everything under the car is in good shape. Just asking before I try to find someone. Hopefully someone close “knows a guy”.

Please define "oversteer", in your application.
Doesn't sound like any decent shop can make it worse.
What is your use/goals for the car, since you are in the handling forum.

My apologies for asking a question in the wrong forum.

Its a legit question, no apology needed. Its just "oversteer" in this forum might mean something different from your issue, and "alignment" ideally is often based on intended use, and in this forum we often get into the weeds on alignment question, hence my question. You still can get a response here if needed.

Oversteer is a condition in which the rear of the car come around as a result of steering input. Its typically the result of mis-match springs rates in the suspension. Power slide is another term I've heard used for this condition

Over-assist is a normal mopar power steering condition/feeling that makes mopars in particular feel like they have less steering "feel". Fixing this usually does not involve alignment but requires steering pump pressure changes.

Darty can also be alignment related with the culprit being a toe out condition of the front suspension.

Ok yea my terminology is incorrect. This is what it is doing. The steering wheel will not center itself. Going slow speeds say in a parking lot. When I turn steering wheel say half a turn clockwise. If I release the steering wheel it will continue turning clockwise almost to full lock clockwise. I have to turn the wheel back counter clockwise. The car was aligned before thou I don’t have a print out of what was done. Before I took it to just some random modern car place I was hoping to find someone on this forum who was around my neck of the woods that could recommend some place. Aside from that maybe someone here could supply me with some knowledge as to what causes this condition so I can speak intelligently to the alignment shop.

sounds like you have a negative caster issue to start with, and possibly other issues as well. power or manual steering ?
most "modern car" places only know how to set the toe in, and make sure the steering wheel is crooked when going straight down the road.

Yeah, sounds like not enough positive caster; positive caster will tend to return to straight-ahead, or "centering", and increase the amount of effort required to deviate from straight ahead.
I'm assuming no worn-out parts, and camber & toe-in are OK or close, nothing really weird at rearend or offset wheelbase.
Basically, older Mopars are positive-caster-limited by their architecture; so you can't really go too far positive unless it affects the camber adjustment.
1/16-1/8" toe-in, 1/2-1.0 degrees neg camber, and as much pos caster (3-5 degrees being the usual design limit stock) works.
(My drag car runs more pos caster than that, and centers with a vengeance - goes dead straight downtrack, which is its narrow purpose.)
Mopar Collector's Guide is in Baton Rouge - they own some Mopars, and someone there may know an alignment shop in your area.

Misadjusted valve on the box? Is car power steering? Does it only do it one direction?
