First, has anyone had any real world experience with these DLC steel bushed lifters? I am debating on using these in a marine/endurance application where durability is a must.. Second, Is there a special part number for bushed blocks(with small oil feed drilling) such as a BB chevy bodied lifter ? Third, a suggested where to buy.... AG.

I've been using them for 2 years now, used to run Isky bushed lifters until I heard from a very well respected engine builder about BAM's DLC coated lifters and how much better they would be. He's been using them for 3 or so years now in all sorts of high end motors and hasn't had any failures. He told me it may be the last lifter I buy. They are cost less than the Isky bushed lifters. I just put a set in one of my customers motors. I think they only make 1 for BB mopar. Here's who I get mine from, he can tell you more about them as he uses lots of them: Matt Driskell - www.driskellent.commattdriskell@driskellent.com

My next set of lifter will be BAM DLC coated. The only reason I did not use them on the -1 or Victor engine projects was the .210 intake lifter offset vs. Isky's .180. I know, .030, big deal. That .210 offset lister seat is *really* close to the edge in a .904. That said the current 451 project is standard port with standard rocker arm offsets so that will not be a concern.
DLC coating is amazing stuff. I have DLC valve locks in a few applications and they are really easy to work with and still looking like new.

That .210 offset lister seat is *really* close to the edge in a .904. Yes, it is "close". But my mock-up with B1 heads (offset T&D rockers), with 7/16" tapered pushrods (about 3/8" dia 1" from tip) worked out just fine.

No real world experience yet but I purchased 2 sets for a couple builds both dlc coated. Just add BB1 to whatever pn to get the dlc coated. I called Brad directly at BAM to confirm availability and part numbers in mid Nov. Then ordered thru Hughes because I had a few other items to get... Pretty painless. They actually shipped this morning but would have been sooner BAM shut down over Thanksgiving.
