Small block with trick flow heads, intake and Harland Sharp heavy duty rockers and shafts.

Thanks !

It really depends on what intake your running. Most fit well, but some intakes contact the covers, so you may need to trim them. I’ve trimmed a few to fit, so had no issues. I still have a set of cal customs I’ve been saving for when I build another small block. Looks good and fits fine with Edelbrock RPM series.

I really like the cast Mopar covers... I have had 4 sets over the years both W style and standard
this is the W for my W-9 heads.. same ones for standard and W series except the W8 heads
These heads I modified (milled the fins off the top)... Mopar use to offer a tall valve cover(in
the pic) or the stock valve
wave

I hate to say this but I have been pretty happy with my $75 china made e bay fab covers. I bought them because I mounted coils to them for my new at the time EFI and Ignition. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I went cheap. They are flimsy but they fit nicely and have worked well for 6 almost 7 years now. I really prefer to buy American made but I can't shell out $400 for some fancy valve covers that won't look or work better than these.

Side note, I do run the super thick fel pro cork gasket with a steel liner. I think these gaskets will seal anything so these covers being less than flat isn't a problem.

I had set of the " cheap " fabricated valve covers blew out a gasket top end of a run , the bottom of the cover was flat with no provision to hold the gasket in place. I have been running a pair of the Mopar Performance cast covers for years with no problems and they aren't flat on the bottom so the gasket stays in place. I machined all of the ribbing off and all that remains is the Mopar Performance. If I could find a set of fabricated covers that aren't totally flat on the bottom and have an area to hold the gasket in place I would consider getting them for my small block.

I would be worried about blowing a gasket out, that is a lot of pressure maybe showing other problems. But, those fel pro gaskets I mentioned are basically two cork gaskets sandwiched together with a thin steel core so it would be much harder to push them out. I have been reusing mine for years.

Ran the moroso fab'd on my standard stuff w2,and 5, and Indy, nice quality. I'm a stickler for...... My w8 deal has either Jeff johnstons or Williams fab'd I'm not sure of which as I didn't buy them new. Have spring oilers in them and are nice pieces. My driver/street strip deal has m/t's on it as I'm all about the day two vibe on it. All work good. Pick your poison. Indy or w5 pic

Thanks, guys ! This is what I need to know. They’re for a 360 base 426” stroker grudge racer. I will probably drive on the street every now and then so I don’t need to accidentally buy something that’s gonna leak.

I saw these valve covers on Ebay on sale, $99 shipped. I think they are almost exactly the same as the discontinued Mopar Performance covers. I was hoping I could just drill out the blank spot for a grommet but the thickness was way off so I had a machine shop mill them so I could use a Moroso 1.22" id grommet. I had vintage MT covers before and the holes for the grommets were so sloppy I could get them to stop leaking oil there...

looks like Mancini is selling them as their own valve covers for a little cheaper than Ansen. Black and Polished...

I have a set from Propan (http://propan.net/) in Miami, Oklahoma.

They made a set for my W9 heads and even knew from sprint car work that they were a little different from other small block heads.

When they are custom made you can specify what you want as far as an oil filler and any other fittings or breathers that you want.

I have been pleased with mine.

I think the ultimate in valve covers are the discontinued MP cast covers! Great look and leak free. I have a core pair that I may be using as soon as I decide what finish I want.

That said, I have a set off fabbed covers from CVF on the motor now. We’ll see how they work...

No… W8 is one of its own.
