I'm no catch myself. I realize that. That's usually the biggest hurdle for me is that when I DO meet somebody who's not a rhinoceros with it's own cricket team and she has hobbies and talent and friends and gainful employment.... well then that means I'm probably going to be the anchor holding her back; and I could never do that to somebody.
My brother partakes in working girls. You'd be shocked/amazed at how many of them do it for legitimate reasons. So, it's in their best interests to have decent clientele and keep themselves clean. Dare I say some of them take better care of themselves than the average woman out there.
They're happy because they have a repeat customer who offers a bit of fun and doesn't hurt them, You're happy because she'll knock your socks off and you don't have to fork out for breakfast.
I've also had a friend who dated a stripper for a while. Funny thing about that was she was CUTE, had a rockin' bod, great personality, above-average intelligence and damn near everything a fellow looked for in a woman. The only reason they split up was because he wanted her to settle down and have babies, and she was unwilling to give up her amazing body and the income it generated.

AMC, I read your response as I was ready to leave for work and thought about it a couple times today.
It IS sickening to see men turn into total wimps and surrender their balls to the woman. I've seen it numerous times. I've had stuff for sale and get the "Geez, let me run this by the wife and I'll let you know".
That always means there will be no sale to that person....either they use that as an excuse OR they really are a limp wrist loser with no balls.
I have ZERO respect for those pussies.
I have no respect for women that LET their man insult them, hurt them or just don't show them love and respect.
I have been married twice and neither wife has tried to control me. I never try to control them either. The relationship should be one with a shared responsibility and mutual respect, not one where one is the boss and the other is the victim.
My time in between wives was a mix of fun and sadness. I like having a woman around but it has to be the right woman. I did not want to have a woman around just to avoid being alone.
I'm outspoken, silly, sometimes crude and obnoxious so it takes a strong and tolerant person to deal with me. I played the dance club angle for several years. Women like a guy that can dance well. I can't dance well but I can talk to women and fake dancing well....It was fun but I did get tired of seeing the same faces week after week.
My sister started an online personal ad for me in late 1998. Through that, I met a bunch of nice women. Most were overweight, most had kids. There were some that sent pictures of when they were THIN, then showed up for a date looking like they ate the person in the picture. It was almost bad enough to request a current picture with the newspaper of the day in the photo.
I met my current wife online in 1999. We have been together since. Great lady!

I use the excuse "It's bad luck to show up to a wedding flying solo. *IF* I can get a date, then I'll show." Generally speaking, you get a pass using that one. Also, my track record is 1 in 7 weddings so far. What's that refer to? Of the 7 weddings I've been invited to (and didn't attend) only ONE of them so far has ended in divorce. I brag all the other ones are staying together because I didn't go to their wedding!

Tough finding a good woman. Like a couple, I was single in the 90's. What I found was that once you turned about 27 most of the good ones were married and all that was left were the head cases. And there were a lot of head cases. At 32 I married my wife who was 25. Perhaps due to the age difference and experience, she didn't even think of running me. We just get along fine. Honestly I think there must be some hormonal thing because the number of head cases out there is unreal. Oh, and the only time I ever tried being super nice and attentive, I was mowed right over. Heck, the wife or I don't ask each other for permission to do anything. Perhaps we just know what would push things too far.
