Not only do I not want one, I don't want to be told how stupid and old fashioned I am for not wanting one. I already know what I'm missing. Don't need any help figuring it out.

If you like it, want to do it, and it helps a track operator pay his bills and keep his doors open. God Bless you. Have at it. There's a butt for every seat.

Exactly ....and wooden tires will never be commonplace again. Even though some are still on the road. The basic tech in an EV is basically the same as the 1840's version. A battery and an electric motor.

Wrapped up in a nice government subsidized tax payer funded, guaranteed profit, package.

Batteries still need charged. Have you ever played with a electric rc toy, the battery always runs out before the fun ends.
Hybrid I get.

Yes I get electric, in the right environment!

City cars should have been electric or hybrids in the last century!

Anyone that's experienced the LA smog will know how crap 'city air' can be!

Yep I was born in London, under the fallout from 4 chimneys, of a coal fired powerstation.

My lungs never felt so good when I left in the 80's for the countryside!

No one really cares as long as they get GAS at a reasonable price at the PUMP!

Gas TAX has paid for the 20th Century, will electric cars do the same in the 21st??? fan

90% of which is controlled by the Chinese who are enslaving half the world to control the lithium and cobalt to build them. No thanks.

Tree huggers and hippies want to shut down power plants but want everyone to have electric cars. They are ignorant.

That would be like me saying we should shut down oil refineries.

The battery technology is better, but it is still a battery.
The leap would be fuel cell or nuclear reactor for electrical generation.

Musk likes the electric vehicle powered by the coal fired power stations in China and the US.

Lets say we are enterprising entrepreneurs, and want to make a new car company. What would be the easiest path. Winding an electric motor, providing the power source(battery) and connecting to differential and controlling the output. Or developing an internal combustion engine and the associated hardware and coupling that output through the drivetrain, along with factoring in all the regulation.

Seems they took the easy way out. And all the regulation is on the initial power supplier. All while getting government subsidies.

There is the true intelligence.

And its not rocket science ......pun intended.

Power plants can't produce enough power now during extreme weather conditions. Where is the power coming from when the streets are full of EV's?

Knee-Jerk politics with emphasis on the JERK!

Hybrids were the way forward and 'full electric' inner city transport.

They want to stop burning coal and using Gas with false info...

Its difficult to talk about ECO on a web site for GAS Guzzlers but its a very small percentage of the problem!
