More progress on the build. up I can't remember who but a member here on Moparts said
that the a/c blower motor would fit if I use standard stamped steel style valve covers and they were correct! bow

Working on the transmission side of the shifter cable yellow. I didn't like the cheezy shockbrackets so I made my own. Two threaded bosses on the bellhousing looked like they were lonely so I put them into play. up Lucky I have another 727 just sitting in the shop that makes taking measurements and a great platform for fabbing up a bracket boogie

Installing the bracket on the underside of the car while laying on my back was absolutely NO fun! mad lol The eyelet hole the OEM shift linkage arm is too small and the arm itself is too long so the shifter won't be able to go from park to L because of ratio issues. So I installed another shorter arm with the correct size eyelet hole to fit the cable adjuster pivot all while crawling under the car and trying to contort my limbs to fit in between the floor and exhaust pipes. I learned to keep my mouth shut quite quickly after dropping a wrench wrench and chipping my tooth shocked I think I might just drill another hole on the OEM shifter arm closer to the pivot point to get the correct ratio for this Hurst shifter. shruggy

The Hurst shifter ratio doesn't match the transmission shift lever by quite a bit. scope See picture and the tiny mark made from trying to drill a new hole.
Trouble is that the lever is made from hardened steel and I can't drill a new hole to achieve the correct ratio. shock I tried two other early levers, all hardened steel! Luckily I had a later (1996 truck) Mopar transmission, it wasn't hardened steel and I was able use it. up

More progress on the build. Rear brakes done minus the hydraulic lines at the narrowed diff and the rear rubber line. I'm not sure how i'm going to route it around the 3' exhaust pipe that has invaded the real estate that belonged to the rubber hose. fun fun fun up

Just an update.
I keep having inflammation issues in my joints (fingers, elbows and knees mostly) that keep me from getting things done on the project. Between life and regular work, I don't have much left to work on my Dart. I reached out to a local shop that was recommended to me to do the repair or replacement of the factory OEM headliner. Once the headliner is done, i'll be able to install the (new to the car) Ralley dash and have the windshield and back glass re-installed. That will be a great step forward to getting this thing finally burning fuel again.
Wish me luck.

I’m still alive and kicking! The Dart project has been a very slow go lately, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Not sure exactly what tunnel that is but? Lol.

Life and finances always seem to put sticks in my spokes. You’re right I need to set aside some time because it’s true. The car is almost finished.
