I got my pesky accelerator pump leak resolved finally, ready to go. Got to sort out transport with Jim but otherwise I’ve ready to go!

What is the Vehicle that is theme this year and what is next years theme also. At one time talked with a lot of 1971 Hemi Challenger owners about taking there cars but Covid took care of that. Since the 1971 Year was missed maybe they could have it next year.

Actually this year is sort of a twofer. Since the 2020 show got canceled/postponed, some of the features that were supposed to be last year including the 1970 feature and the T/A AAR display are happening this year, as is a 1971 50th anniversary feature. This years show will highlight both the 1970 and 71 model years.

I will actually get to see the show this year as I am not judging, decided to retire from judging from every show, I have done it for 30 years now and missed a lot of things due to it, so it was time. I have to fly to Florida on Thursday to get transport a car to MCACN and it is only 90% done, they only have a week to finish it!

MCACN is always the weekend before Thanksgiving, therefore November 19 and 20, 2022. Hope you can make it over here from Germany!

I was there 2019 and planned to come this year again but due to health issues I can't fly next week.

We pulled out of the event. Had our car there, but some old [censored] from Titan lifts was determined to start a fight with my nephews. Have 8 minutes of film of this guy acting like a totally uncontrollable [censored]. Threatening to beat everyone up because the fire marshal asked us to crank the car and run the fuel level down. I guess 5 gallons was too much. I didn't feel comfortable leaving the car at the venue when someone was acting so insane over the situation. We loaded up and went home. I hate it because the promoters are great and have done nothing wrong. I don't trust myself and especially my Dad to be in the same venue as someone who put hands on one of my nephews. For the safety of the car and everyone there, I decided to have them load up and go home. Shame, we were looking forward to it. Unreal that someone from Titan Lifts couldn't control their own staff and prevent this from happening.

Saw your post on Farcebook, but I couldn't reply as I am still banned LOL. I can't believe the MCACN staff didn't take care of the situation, good thing I was not there. Is your dad still going to be there?

Darn, sorry to hear that. Doing some limited Wednesday move-in was a new and probably one year only deal because the previous convention postponed their event to winter. Every other year we must wait until they finish their move out Thursday morning to begin.
Only limited staff there yesterday otherwise there would have been MCACN staff there to intervene.
Heading out in a few minutes, I’ll be watching the Bryn Mar exit door today and Friday, stop and say hi if you’re there. I’ll be in the stage area Saturday and Sunday.
Any issues whatsoever please find a MCACN staff member to assist!
The fire code rules are 1/4 tank or less for cars on display, and battery disconnected.

No, it's a full pull out of the event. Someone puts hands on a family member and that's a good way for things to go VERY sideways. I love my Dad to death and I know his temper. I'm the most laid back person you'll find at an event, but I don't trust myself to stay in control if I saw this old demented idiot. Nothing good is going to come from us being around there. I won't show my Dad the video, because he WILL be at MCACN then and I don't need that stress in my life right now lol.

The 1/4 tank of gas is what caused this issue in the first place. It's a race car, it has a VERY small tank on it. Yes, it was full, BECAUSE IT'S A SMALL TANK. Does a 72 pro stock car sound like a car that has a large fuel tank? Any normal car with a 1/4 tank of fuel would have MORE fuel in their tank than we did. The fire marshal yelled because we had too much fuel, even when he was told it's less than 5 gallons. There were two marshals there and 1 of them said to crank the car and let it run because they had no way of draining the tank. They said to run it for 10 minutes and that would be fine, that's what was done. Captain idiot came over FIVE times to complain after the car was shut off that no vehicles were supposed to run in the building. Never mind I have video of 8 semi's running inside the building at the same time this all happened. All of this was over the fact this old dude was mad the car was ran. The dumber of the 2 fire marshals response when all this went down: "I'm not a cop, I can't do anything".
