Mopar part numbers on the plug 3498227 72649 B-804

For an oval hole roughly 2.25" x 1.25"

My local Mopar dealer said they only have access to searching numbers back to 83 and this was used in the years 61-81

Anyone know what this fits? I searched the 72649 and a similar plug popped up for a newer Ram but its thicker and definitely not this plug.

No. That one is recessed. This one is flush.

The only other similar flush hole plug I know of is for 72 and up Dodge truck door hinge bolt access. But that plug is almost twice as big.

Only parts book I found it in is the 1972-1973 Light Truck book.

THANKS for the fine detective work smile

I only have a 78-81 parts book and this part is not in there. They show a metal plate for those years.

Also, I searched the whole internet, doens't anyone make clutch rod boots for trucks? in my 79-81 book it shows part number 3732938. Only place I could find that number is on one of those military surplus websites (they dont have any but they had the number). Said that number superceded 2830873. This hole plug and those part numbers are different than the one that fits all the 66-76 cars - that boot number is 2266783.
