I’ve been noticing more and more my 69 gtx not having a pass side mirror. I’ve driven so many miles in these cars without one that it seems strange to me that now I’m missing it. Maybe it’s the heavier traffic than I grew up with? I could also make a case for a six way seat, or maybe an am/fm. I had a car with an fm converter and that was pretty cool. A buddy seat would be nice, but wouldn’t add as much function to the car as the mirror.

A01 LIGHT PACKAGE in my '69 GTX !! Back in '69 I sat down at the local Plymouth dealership (with my co-signing dad) and ordered my '69 Road Runner with the A01 light package along with the air grabber, hood stripes, RM23 hardtop, black interior, bucket seats, console, 3.91 Suregrip track pack and a few other items.... Had it until the late '70's and then years later I finally got a '68 RR and the first couple of times out with the wife and son and getting into it in the dark my wife asks me "why do you keep your door open putting the key into the ignition switch all of the time?" shruggy laugh2 I said "A01" and she just looked at me like realcrazy

Oh and power windows would be real nice too especially with a hardtop, no A/C and hot humid days

Option that was available to the car? Maybe interior light.

Any option that could possibly be retrofitted? AC.

A heated steering wheel would be nice for dry days in the winter.

6 way seat or tilt steering. Ah, heck, go for broke, both of them.

A 5- or 6-speed trans, I guess, but that's hardly been a deal-breaker...
As far as comfort/convenience stuff, I guess a cup-holder.
Otherwise, mine are essentially time-machines and I enjoy how simple & basic they are.
Heck, I never even turn their radios on.

My car came with factory AC, Cruise control, 6way manual drivers seat, AO1 light package, AM radio with rear speaker. When I restored the car, it all went back in, but I added : hidden stereo (FM, Ipod input, Aux Input, satellite), auto dim rearview mirror with Homelink & temp/compass, console rear section from C body - has cig. lighter and light. Must admit, much as I like the console auto, have to put pillow there, for resting the right arm on - console just to low ! . . . oh yeah, would have liked pass side outside mirror, but car did not come with it . . .

My current car is pretty much bare bones no option car. There is no radio and I like it like that .
The Prev owner changed to left remote mirror, power steering, and tinted glass. I would like to change back to the manual mirror at some point ( mainly because I like the looks of it better ) But the rest will stay
And about the only thing I plan to change / upgrade at some point is swap to front disc brakes .

BUT, the best option I ever added to any of the cars Ive owned previously was the 6 way set bar none. My wife is only 5' tall, so the seat made a huge difference for her to drive the car comfortably.

When I did my former 1970 Challenger 340. I added a bunch of options, I took the woodgrain wheel off and went to the smaller tuff stuff steering wheel, 6 way seat, power windows, rear sway bar , it already had factory air that worked .

Heated seats or better yet decent bucket seats for distance driving.

Isn’t there a 66/67 Charger console lid that had an arm rest? I’ve seen one added to later.m a B-body before.

A12rag, that car is awesome and the options you have are sweet.

The light package was on my Christmas wish list and I tried to buy two cars that had it, but those deals didn’t work out. I thought it would bother me more than it has since my last car had it.

Thanks . . . cool that it really is FC7 car too. Gotta admit - the BEST option - at least for a daily driver up here in winter land, is the heated steering wheel !!! . . .oh and heated seats !! . . . so nice to get into a car with remote start that turns on the heated seats and steering wheel . . . . oh my how "spoiled" I have gotten . . . . lol

I got an expedition with all the bells like that. Didn’t k ow what I’d been missing. Still would rather just live someplace a scrungy 68-71 mopar could be used as a daily year round. Could do without all the doodads.

A way to turn off the radio and U-connect crap on my 15 SRT, it’s been tiring to update for over two years, I don’t want it!!

I wish my Challenger convertible had the cloth seat option. I’m pretty sure that option wasn’t available on convertibles though I have no idea why.

If I was to order a brand new 1968 GTS convertible it would have a few things ours did not come with, starting with console and disc brakes (it will be getting K-H discs this time around). I also would have ordered it with the sport wheel covers and steering wheel (it has both now). I'd also probably order AC.
