Never attempted it in that way.......but I believe the wheelhouse assembly and the structure above it will interfere.
FWIW, on my '69 GTX I was able to slip the 1 piece trunk floor in with one quarter off but I also had the wheelhouse assy removed at the same time. Trunk gutters were left in place/intact, but all the spot welds at the rear crossmember were all removed which allowed some movement to get it all installed.

I think I know the answer by looking at the car but will a one piece trunk pan fit in place on a 68 Charger with only one quarter removed ? Or only through the back with valance or taillamp panel off? Thanks in advance all. No, It will not go in from the side. The wheelhouse and trunk hinge support is in the way. Here's a link to how I do it. The Charger is one of the easier cars to do install the trunk floor from the rear. Only need to remove the rear valance. But bear in mind, the 68-70 Charger bodies are one of the most complex cars to restore. There's a lot going on back there https://board.moparts.org/ubbthread...-floor-installation-yes-it-will-fit.html

Probably not what you want, but I would consider sawing it in half, put it in place and weld it back together. I am not a real body man and I have never played one on tv.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I did say you probably wouldn't like it. If the valence should come off anyway then that is apparently the Correct way to do it. I was just throwing out another option in case the proper way was too painful. As far as looks go a can of splatter paint and a trunk mat will cover that. If it looks hideous but no one can see it then Warned you I wasn't a body man.
