I think I know the answer by looking at the car but will a one piece trunk pan fit in place on a 68 Charger with only one quarter removed ? Or only through the back with valance or taillamp panel off? Thanks in advance all.

It should slide right in with the quarter off.

Ok I assumed no it wouldn't. Maybe have to remove trunk gutter too?

Never attempted it in that way.......but I believe the wheelhouse assembly and the structure above it will interfere.

FWIW, on my '69 GTX I was able to slip the 1 piece trunk floor in with one quarter off but I also had the wheelhouse assy removed at the same time.
Trunk gutters were left in place/intact, but all the spot welds at the rear crossmember were all removed which allowed some movement to get it all installed.

No, It will not go in from the side. The wheelhouse and trunk hinge support is in the way.

Here's a link to how I do it.
The Charger is one of the easier cars to do install the trunk floor from the rear. Only need to remove the rear valance. But bear in mind, the 68-70 Charger bodies are one of the most complex cars to restore. There's a lot going on back there

Probably not what you want, but I would consider sawing it in half, sawzall put it in place and weld it back together. weld
I am not a real body man and I have never played one on tv.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

that would be a lot more work, for less quality results.
The one piece trunk floor will slide in from the rear easily on a 68-70 Charger. The trunk floor welds to the rear valance, so that needs to be drilled apart anyway. It's simply a case of drilling the valance free from the tail panel and ends, and then it's off, leaving a nice wide opening for the new panel to slide right in.
Odds are, the rear valance and or valance corners and rear crossmember will have rust issues too, so this allows you to access, and repair or replace those pieces too.

laugh2 I did say you probably wouldn't like it. If the valence should come off anyway then that is apparently the Correct way to do it. I was just throwing out another option in case the proper way was too painful.
As far as looks go a can of splatter paint and a trunk mat will cover that. If it looks hideous but no one can see it then shruggy
Warned you I wasn't a body man. fan
