There's absolutely no reason or advantage to using a double flare in that application. A single flare is fine. All you need is the OD of the metal line expanded slightly at the end of the line to help prevent the hose from slipping off after its clamped.

iagree

X 2 or 3
And will add doing a double will create a larger OD and sharp ridge that will likely cause the hose to fail prematurely twocents beer

i have made the "bubble" on many fuel lines, using a standard flaring tool, by simply starting a double flare and quitting when the "bubble" looked good to my eyes.

I have the hydraulic flaring tool several have posted here. There is some stainless it simply will not do. Even adding a cheater bar to the clamp handle. Tube just slides. I have double flared some stainless tubing with it with no issue. Depends on the hardness of the tubing.

I do the same to keep hoses from walking off & a place for the clamp to grip.

There some different brands and price is always changing but when I was having problems I bought one of these flaring tools and couldn't have been happier with it.
