I was planning on installing a set of nos shocks but the outside sleeve has separated from the top post. I see no signs of damage. Can the shock be repaired or used?

I guess you could install it to make sure it was really good, if so then reattach the sleeve.

Hi Glenn , isn't that dust tube just tack or spot welded in 3 or 4 spots on the top ? Do you have a Mopar Buddy with a Tig welder ? A Mig will also do it , but might burn the paint up top a little more . drive Worth a try . shruggy I know I would try to save them . Ronnie

Ronnie, it appears the top sleeve was pressed onto the stud base. I see no signs of a weld but that may do the trick. Thanks

If it was just pressed on then I would crimp it a little and/or then either JB weld or silver solder it in place......
