I have a dash wiring harness I want to sell and would like to confirm it's application before I do. When I got it I was told it was from a 68 or 69 B-body non-rally dash application. It has a tag on it with the number 2926380. I don't see any other numbers on it other than what is on the fuse box. If someone could confirm what it is for I would appreciate it.

Closest I can come up with in my 69 parts manual is 2926390 which is a back up lamp switch engine compartment with 383 and 440 w/4-speed up to Nov. 1968. Found 2926381 in the 68 parts manual as instrument panel cluster wiring, can't find that number anywhere else... shruggy

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Green and black wires taped together? That color codes use to be for the speaker

The dash harness PN uses to be around the big bulk of wires close to firewall

An expanded view of the full harness will help for identification

It's not for the speaker. There is a red wire along with the black and green going into a plug. The plug is on one end of the harness.

I dont think that is a black wire with the green and red.....it looks to be violet, that part of the harness goes to the floor,..its the dimmer switch wiring and connector.

Yeap, is violet and is the wires section running to floor dimmer switch, but on the first pic it looks black and just two wires visible lol.

I ran that number through my 68 and 69 books and it does not come up. Is there any other numbers on it?

I have a harness with the same number as well i'm trying to find info on. I was thinking it looks like what you said, a 68 or 69 B Body standard dash harness.

the 68 harness is different than the 69 harness , the difference is a wire on the ignition switch , 69 has it , 68 doesn't ... I think it's a ground ? I've parted a number of 68 and 69 B bodies over the years..

running up my post count some more .
