Obviously it was proofed by someone who NEVER actually saw or knew the direction that the plane actually flew.

They based their idea of how it would fly based on what they assumed was the tail which it wasn't (like on a modern airplane where the tail is in the rear).

I can see how most graphic artists would make that mistake. A person would have to know something about early airplanes to know that what looks like a tail is actually the front of that particular airplane.
