Too bad Dennis didn't get it instead..........

Dennis seems to appreciate the history of a car, whereas Richard is just trying to make a buck, history be damned.

Yep, at first I thought this was a Jeopardy answer: "Who is the LAST person you'd want to see owning a '71 Cuda, Alex."

Looks like an ex con sounds like an ex con. Mopar deserves better.

Why does he seem so clueless or is it an act?

Pretty disappointing to see that Collins thought the extra metal tag next to the fender tag was for Calif. emissions. Nothing like a TV show perpetuating false info. That extra tag was just used for punching inspector marks into instead of punching them in the actual fender tag. Seems to be a LA assembly plant thing only.

I thought California cars did not get exhaust tips and valence, that they came with turn downs.

That is the eternal question when it comes to reality shows. Some of the so called "stars" seem like complete morons but evidently they turn on enough TVs that their shows get picked up. Don't ask me why, I never watch the shows.

His YT channel is definitely an improvement over the old Gas Monkey show.

All 71 cudas were built at the Hamtramck Michigan plant. Those inspection tags were some what common.

Sounds to me like he is just getting it running well enough to flip it as it sits. Hopefully a Mopar guy/girl will end up with it, give it some TLC.

I believe these car shows that are viewed on TV via cable- satellite and streaming are the same layout as "Professional Wrestling." Characters are actors and actresses performing to a script. I used to watch them. 20 years ago when Boyd Coddingtons' lead painter quit and was crying - that was a Jump the shark moment for me.

Somewhere I saw a video where Richard actually kinda mentions that. He was talking about the TV show ending and his contract with Discovery being up and how he would finally be able to do the things HE wanted to do (on a youtube channel). He went on to say most people don't realize just how much control Discovery had over the show, it HAD to follow a certain structure.

Wild guess on my part, while Dennis did appear on Richards show from time to time, he probably stayed away from getting a (TV) show of his own because of all the corporate control. Dennis's YouTube channel is a pretty good watch, even if his knowledge isn't 100% on point all the time.
