if you are using a after market (usually aluminum race pans) oil pan that the gasket flange blocks the dipstick hole you can fix it by grinding or cutting that part out and use a stock type Mopar or after market dipstick scope wrench up
I've had to do that on more than one race pan shruggy

If you can’t notch the pan rail a sight glass would be a good option.

On my aluminum oil pan the factory dipstick hit the pan above the oil level. I added a dipstick to the kickout of the pan itself.

Look at how the factory did the BB truck pans. You can buy a simple and easy kit although you will need to calibrate it so it will read right with your pan.
