Both my rear calipers are leaking from a 13 year old SSBC kit. I would like to rebuild them but SSBC says they do not sell a kit - that I would need to take them off and send them back to the factory for rebuilding ($300 for the pair) with a week turnaround + shipping both ways. These days that means close to a month. This is super inconvenient and I would love to just buy a kit. I have to think that they were using parts that were generally available and modifying them and that there might be a compatible rebuild kit out there. If you have any suggestions here, I would be really grateful. Thanks!

Strategy info in here that may help you? Numerous brake kits out there use calipers and rotors from other vehicles so if you can figure that part out getting the service parts is easier.

look closely at 87 thunderbird turbo coupe rear calipers.
a few weeks back, i was gifted info on the ssbc rear disc brake kit so i could copy the bracketry their kits contain.
in the info, it was stated the calipers used were thunderbird turbo coupe items.
although i have not held them in my hands, i did a quick rock auto search, and it appears the calipers for the 87 very closely match the pics i was sent.
trying to "pay it forward", check the caliper or rebuild kit for it, and report back one way or the other.
